Hi folks, Windows 8 new look is great and navigating around never been easier with the new retro interface. However there has been a bit of change to the system, which makes hiding your secret documents a bit more complicated comparing to it’s older brother – Windows XP. I will show you how to do it step-by-step in this article. If you have many separate files, you need to group them all into one big folder.

1. Open properties menu of the folder you want to hide.
2. Check “Hidden” box and click “Apply”.
3. Open menu bar by holding you cursor over top right corner of the screen until it appears, then choose “Settings”.
4. Select “Control Panels”.
5. Open “Folder Option” from Control Panel window, if you cant see it, make sure the “View by:” option (top right of the window) is set to “Small icons”
6. Select “View” tab. then select “Don’t show hidden files, folders, or drives” and click “Apply”
Done! To view the file again, repeat step 3 to 6 and make sure you choose “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” instead of  the don’t show hidden files option.
